Real Exposure. Real People. Real Possibilities.

Who We Are

The Switch Program was founded in response to a recurring challenge seen across communities: young people are often asked to make life-shaping decisions without ever being given meaningful exposure to careers, workplaces, or professionals. Too many students are expected to choose paths based on limited visibility, leading to confusion, pressure, and missed opportunities. The Switch Program exists to close that gap by creating access to real-world environments before expectations are placed on youth.

Community based response

MOBILE MODEL

The Switch Program was intentionally designed as a mobile, partnership-driven model that brings learning into authentic environments—workforce institutions, businesses, and community spaces where careers are actively lived out.

GUIDEED REFLECTION

Rather than focusing on early career selection, the program centers on exposure, mentorship, and guided reflection, allowing students to observe, ask questions, and engage safely in professional settings. All experiences are supervised, age-appropriate, and structured to prioritize youth well-being.

Institutional Thinking, Not Individual Ownership

While founder-led, The Switch Program is community-governed and institutionally minded. The organization is guided by a developing board, advisors, and partner organizations who support accountability, strategic direction, and long-term sustainability.

By collaborating with workforce partners such as Job Corps and local businesses, Switch operates within established systems while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to community needs. This approach allows the program to scale responsibly without losing focus or integrity.

Who the Program Serves

The Switch Program serves teens ages 14–18, with a commitment to expanding access for youth who may not otherwise see themselves represented in professional spaces. The program welcomes students at all stages of curiosity—whether they are confident in their direction or still exploring what’s possible.

a LONG TERM COMMITMENT

The Switch Program is built with longevity in mind. As the organization evolves, leadership development, evaluation, and community feedback remain central to ensuring the program continues to meet the needs of students, families, and partners with integrity and purpose.
